I've seen this kind of thing happen in Windows when the files are on a
CD--and given that this is your D drive (the letter commonly assigned to a
CD reader), that would be my first guess. Sometimes you can fix the problem
simply by copying it to your C drive (in Windows) then opening it from
there.
