Subject:Clicking TOC causes Word to Update Fields From:"J. Ressler" <jressler -at- ewa-denver -dot- com> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Thu, 11 Dec 2003 15:26:17 -0700
Word 2k on Win XP.
When I click on the Table of Contents, or any cross-reference pointing
from within the doc to another point in the doc, Word insists on
updating the fields. Takes about 2 minutes before the XRef works.
Document is long, but only 5Mb in size with linked graphics. I have
saved the doc as RTF, but not yet Maggied (when performed in December,
also known as a Merry Maggie). .
What says you, is my document corrupt? Does Word do this all the time
and I have never noticed?
