AppleWorks for $79: http://www.apple.com/appleworks/

Yup. And it can read and write files in several versions of WinWord format. I've used AppleWorks 6 on my Mac laptop to translate files between a client using Word XP and another one of their freelancers who used a much earlier Word version (v6?) on one of the client's cast off Win95 computers. Other than an occasional minor pagination tweak (12 pt Arial on the Mac is a slightly different width than 12 pt Arial on Windows <sigh>) the conversions worked very well.
