Hi,

I need your help on how to decide on the version number of a document. We
have a new product developed, which is given the same version number as
the other products. For example, if one product X has version 4.2, then
the new product is also given the same version number. In other words, the
versions are standard across all the products.

Now, my question is: What version should the document have? Should the
document have the same version number, that is 4.2.

I am not very clear with the document version? What is general pratice
followed by other organizations?

Thanks,
A Mulay.
