I was mistaken. It wasn't a typo. He or she changed the order of your
original phrase and made it wrong:

- Your original phrase:

<to verify your "account information" for your Big Bank account or
other online services.>

got changed to:

<to verify your Big Bank "account information" or other online
services>

If he or she needed to muck around with it, it should have been
changed to:

<to verify your Big Bank "account information" or to verify your
personal information for other online services>.

He or she shouldn't have mucked around with it, in my opinion.
