OK, having put together a few new kids' toys and read the manuals for a
few new grownup toys (strictly out of professional curiosity, not because
I had to ;) the examples that amused me most were :

the animal sounds cubes--instruction on manual: Open battery door and
insert batteries....careful inspection of the cubes didn't reveal a
battery door...

the animal sounds cubes--instruction on box: The battery door is located
behind the picture of the dog...ahhh, of course...

and the instructions for my grandmother's new favourite toy, a Roomba
robot vacuum cleaner:
Rug tassels may become stuck in Roomba's cleaning rollers "If they do,
Roomba will give a whimper beep"...while robot toys often make some
unusual noises, I wouldn't really expect one to whimper...

And I must say, I'm a little jealous--I never get to write about the
picture of the dog, or things that whimper (...was gonna make a crack
about the developers, but it's the season to be charitable ;) Does anyone
else have some intriguing instructions to share?

Hope everyone had a batteries-included holiday,
Mandy...yeah, well, it's half an hour to Friday in my part of the world ;)
