It's not about you, it's about your product. Don't be a good tech writer;
produce good tech writing, which is:
* Clear
* Concise
* Correct
* Complete

Some corollaries:
* Part of being clear is using good design, good English, etc.
* Part of being correct and complete is working well with others.
* "Others" include users, SMEs, clients, and bosses. Good luck.
