You can scale them in HTML via WWP (not sure how in v. 2003) but yes, I
agree for the most part with Dick. I suggest using thumbnails instead of
resizing them and have the thumbnail link to the full-size GIF.
And, when you say these GIFs are huge in WWP, you mean full-size, right? Not
bigger than the original graphic, right?
