Word can easily handle a 150-page document. Skip the whole master-doc
thing, unless you want to go live in an ashram studying with Steve Hudson
for a year <g>.
Since you don't need to link or update the Excel data, simply copy the
portions of the spreadsheets you want, and use Edit, Paste Special, RTF
text (I'm approximating here) to paste the data into your Word doc as a
table. This will prevent some of the file bloat that actual embedding
causes. Also, any pictures should be inserted using Insert, Picture, From
File. I have the best luck with GIFs in terms of keeping file size down.
