I was reading a trade rag on this and it profiled four companies...three
publicly traded companies, and one not traded...the Philadelphia Stock
Exchange.

The reason the PSE did SOX was:

1) They saw the value
2) The figured they might not be traded now, but what if they go public?

Figure most large private sector companies would like to be traded when
they grow up, so yes, I believe that large private sector companies will
find it of value.

In addition, some companies may sell to companies that require SOX
compliance. Wouldn't it be an advantage to understand their needs?
We're in the software asset management business. We're starting to
include references to SOX in our marketing and training, it's only time
before it makes it's way down to User and Admin deliverables.
