If by VoIP you mean IP-to-IP communication over the public Internet, then
Yes I know what that means.

But if by VoIP you mean subscriber services that use proprietary hardware
adapters to lock you into their networks and connect you to the PSTN for a
fee, then Yes I know what that means too.
