Hey John,

Vmware is a pretty cool application. It creates separate virtual machines
where you can install different operating systems. It's ideal for
documenting an OS and you can move from machine to machine (OS to OS) just
by switching windows. You can even give your virtual machine an IP address
and connect it to the network as a separate machine. You can set up an
entire network of virtual machines if you want. The only limitation I found
is that you can't partition your virtual machine, other than that, it's like
having another PC (or as many as you want)inside yours.

Also, you can assign what each machine gets - NIC card, amount of RAM, size,
etc. So it eats up a lot of RAM, because you need to divide your RAM among
your new machines.
