JavaHelp can be very, very slow, especially on some UNIX boxes. Where I
used to work, after significant testing on numerous platforms and
versions of Java, we deemed it too slow and switched to a related
technology called Oracle Help. The source files for Oracle Help are
virtually the same as for Java Help, so if you can build one you can
build the other without a lot of work. As you can guess from the name,
Oracle Help is available from Oracle, and it's "freeware."
