Hi,

Thank you everyone for the suggestions on how to use a graphic for a bullet in FrameMaker.

I'm evaluating FrameMaker 7 right now. I have three questions:

1. Is there any way to crop--not hide parts of--a graphic?

For a variety of reasons, this is best done with a graphics program. However, you can reduce the size of the anchored frame in which you place a graphic.

2. Is the conversion-to-Word feature working on regular (non-trial) versions of FrameMaker? (It seems to hang up on the trial version, but perhaps I'm not patient enough.)

It works, but yes it's slow.

3. Is it normal for a FrameMaker file to be fifty times larger than a Word file with the same text and screenshots?

No. Most likely, you have either pasted graphics directly into the document or you have imported them using the "Copy into document" option. If you import graphics by reference, your FrameMaker documents will be quite compact.

Regards,
