1. There is no racism really. If there is, it is
the usual stuff that cuts across all races: there
are a few Indians in the U.S. who resent
offshoring too :-)

2. In a recent article, WSJ argued that key jobs
must remain in the u.s., and they will no doubt.
Indeed, offshoring gives topmanagement the
advantage of a pliant middle management and an
absolutely subservient lower cadre (a factor many
hate to admit on either shores: on and off :-)

3. Re above, see the latest JDJ's article (last
page) on offshore outsourcing and how it may have
all started with prima donna behaviors of people.

4. Moving up the value chain is the answer: after
the initial confusion and commotion, it will
happen. Quite literally, necessity here, is the
mother of invention.
