I usually follow this group as a lurker, following the group as mirrored
in Usenet newsgroups, and posting volume seems to be down.


For those who don't know, posts to TECHWR-L are also posted to Usenet in the group bit.listserv.techwr-l. If you use this method to read list messages, there is a caveat: if you read messages through a newsreader and post a reply to that group, the message will not be sent to the list.

A better method, I think, is to use the news server at raycomm: lists.raycomm.com. You can read group messages with any newsreader just as you would read the bit.listserv.techwr-l group, but the difference is that if you post to the techwr-l group on list.raycomm.com, the message will get send to the list.
