I would not use any special characters and limit yourself to letters, numbers, and the underscore. That's really the only way to "guarantee" that you won't have problems. Someone else mentioned that they had used & in some filenames along with spaces, and that can definitely lead to problems with browsers (even though spaces do get "changed" into %20). & are used in passing values from one HTM page to another, so I could see how a browser might choke on something like that, possibly thinking that the file name is some sort of value that it is supposed to be using in a JavaScript.

That's my two cents worth at least.

Hey, in another thread, you mentioned that GIMP has a new version out. Can you give us a rundown of some of its new features?
