Sorry - that wasn't clear. (See earlier message on being clear in writing. Oops!)

What I meant to ask was if anyone had any luck gaining official permission to work with legal to turn this into something that makes sense, as opposed to something ridiculous. Though I suppose "legally sound AND clear and sensible" is an oxymoron (created by someone made stupid by lack of oxygen? :-> ) Most of these products provide a pre-configured disclaimer, which seems to be what companies go with.


On another note: Even though I know how this works (Trend makes this software) it isn't possible for me to edit the text on outgoing messages without working within the system. Basically, when the message leaves my client and passes from the Exchange servers across the gateway, it's routed through messaging security software that adds this disclaimer. It's the last stop before the message leaves the company's control, so there's no way I could change it on my own.
