You can get sued because the customer thinks you have not finished
the contract, even though you did. Even though they agreed that
you did and paid you for it. They can sue you because your manual
only covers phase A of the project and doesn't mention phase B that
they didn't even dream of until after you were out of there. They
might sue you because they think you have insurance!

Find a GOOD lawyer. They were not invented by Rod Serling, even
if it sometimes seems that way.
