STORY: SnagIt's Free Materials - Get Even More Resources!
Dan the technical writer was exhausted from his vacation weekend. He
wished someone would do everything for him - dress him, feed him,
drive him to work, do his work for him.
He sat slumped in front of his computer in his office. He wasn't even
sure how he had the willpower to make it there. And as for finishing
this documentation project . . . he couldn't fathom doing all the work
himself.
Suddenly, Dan sat up straighter in his chair. He'd come across a page
on the TechSmith Web site - the official site of the leading screen
capture program, SnagIt.
Dan read aloud off the screen. "Now there's even more to add to your
SnagIt program. Want more stamps, textures, images, or profiles?"
"Yes, yes I do!" Dan eagerly answered himself.
He read on, "You can instantly download and install these resources
all for free!" He scanned the list - Stamps! Web graphics! Capture
Profiles! - they were all his to download, and they didn't cost him a
thing. And wow - would they help him out. Not only could he capture
more quickly, but he had more ways to enhance his screenshots!
Dan started whistling as he began to download his materials.
"What are you so cheery about?" his coworker Pat called over the
cubicle.
"Because with SnagIt doing all the work," Dan answered, "it's like I'm
still on vacation!"
Improve your Workplace Negotiation and Budget Justification Skills
"In my 'day job' as a technical recruiter I continually see writers
who are very well schooled in how to produce documentation, but who
never learned the art of budget justification, negotiation (up and
down the org chart), dealing with difficult people, handling poor
performers, and all the other skills needed to survive (let alone
prosper) in the current economic marketplace.
LavaCon was created to fill that need."
