Am dashing this off in a hurry, since I'm leaving town, so forgive the brevity and vagueness of the question. Basically, it's been a couple of years since I've created any online help, and so I haven't used RoboHelp in the interim. I am contracted to create a basic help system for a server-based application, a kind of network monitoring system. Just your basic, vanilla, context-sensitive help system.

I see there are two version of RoboHelp, the $999 and the $1999 version. Is there any good, special reason to get the more expensive version? Anything that I'll probaby want to do, and, if I buy the less expensive version, I'll find myself saying, "Darn, need to upgrade to really get the job done!"?

Also -- I used to use ForeHelp, which I loved, but RoboHelp beat them out. Have any serious competitors to RoboHelp emerged, that I should be looking at?

Thanks in advance for all replies.
