Hope my post was taken with a smile and there's no hard feelings.

I've been approached by so many kool-aid prophets (read: consultants
<lol>) that I tend to have a knee jerk reaction to the hype type
descriptions of SGML/XML. I find that the most painful exercise in trying
to learn the technologies is separating the prophets, druids,
high-priests, and sooth-sayers from the honest truth and basic functions.

Be carful when someone starts trying to sell you on "normalization" of
your data or the absolute necessity of SGML repositories. :p Unless
they've thoroughly studied and understood your requirements and the system
is adapting to YOUR needs and not the other way around.
