Also it's sometimes economical to put spot color on certain
selected pages. The imposition (arrangement of how the
pages are layed out on the printing plates in the press)
can, for instance, allow a color on just pages 1, 8, 9, 16,
17, 24, 25 and 32 to be somewhat cheaper than putting the same
color on all pages. That set of numbers is only an example.
The actual imposition for a particular press run depends on
the number of pages, the particular press and folding equipment,
and maybe on the whim or policies of the printing company.
