It's cruel, but whenever I hear someone boasting about Mensa membership, I
remember a Mensa member I used to know in university. He was so convinced of his
own superiority that he went hiking alone, and apparently didn't think that the
warnings to stay on the trail applied to him. He fell off a cliff that the trail
looped around.
