Of course, there's different degrees of obsessions. To some people on this list,
any thought about fonts whatsoever is obsessive. The discussion here is about
simple font selection. I doubt that most people on the list would go much beyond
that.

Nor should they. If ordinary readers notice the font, then it's probably a poor
choice.

This sounds good, but what is "eternal" - twenty years? If you remember, one
reason why the memo about George Bush's National Guard service came under
suspicion was that it was set in Times - a font that wasn't much in use around
1970, although some typewriters did, apparently, use it.
