So, the question is this: How many more years do you expect to be a tech
writer?
Other/None of the above.
I have never _been_ a tech writer nor do I expect ever to _be_ one.
Tech writing is a job I do, fairly often, when I'm working. Sometimes I do other things. I've done quite a bit of tech writing over the years and expect to do quite a bit more before I die. (Retire? What's that?) But I do not define myself by my occupation.
I'm a person, striving to be a mensch but not striving to be a [insert job title here].
