Hi John,
We also support wildcard searching and originally assumed that our
users would be pretty familiar with this concept. However, our Support
team has received one or two requests for more explanation of this
feature, so we now provide a little "intro to wildcard searching" that
includes a couple of examples. Before, we basically said, "This feature
is available. Go have fun with it."

Most of our users probably don't need the explanation, but for those
few who do, the explanation is there.

Hi, guys...one of our product recently added the functionality of
doing wildcard searching via an asterisk. Nothing fancy, enter * in
place of any string that may be part of a larger string i.e., New
Yor* would result in New York, New York City, New York State, New
Yorkie, New Yorkshire Pudding, etc.

Now...with an audience of average PC literate corporate America, is
it enough to explain that the functionality now exists with a simple
sentence or two explanation or could there be those out there that
don't understand this functionality and need a full explanation along
with examples?

Note...* is the only form we support...no ? for single characters or
anything more complex.
