I went and looked at the links provided for existing programs of
this type, and they appear to be nothing more than thesaurus
plug-ins that make it easier for someone to find alternate words
to select from. I don't think the results of using these would be
any worse than what would be produced by someone who was
manually looking up words, but something that did it automatically
would probably be of use only to someone who was inclined to
cheat in the next Bulwer-Lytton contest.
