My guess is that the audience will know what the buttons mean.
If you want to be correct, though, I'd change the text of the buttons to
read
"Microsoft Office Excel Workbook (*.xls) or Text (*.txt)" or even
"MS Excel (*.xls) or Text (*.txt)" Also -- is the text format comma- or
tab-delimited?
Your user might want to know that before saving, too.
