I think there's a difference between posting a job opening and
requesting that people who may know of openings send a private email to
the requestor. In the past, requests from those between jobs asking for
leads or advice or agency names was permitted. The information at
http://www.techwr-l.com/techwhirl/abouttechwhirl/noadspolicy.html is
ambiguous regarding requests for job listings.

As to not having the time to wade through postings about somebody's
product or job searches, well, you can always learn something new from
someone's experience with a product or service. It certainly makes a
refreshing change from some of the other topics that keep cropping up.
Information on job searches can be important to those here who are or
may be in similar situations. What's the market like? Where are rates
going? No one is putting job postings on the list; the original poster
asked that leads be sent his way.
