TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
The world of software test is roughly divided into
half: White Box testing and Black Box testing. White
Box (also called Clear Box testing) means you test
based upon knowledge of the code. Unit and Module
level testing is typically done using White Box
techniques and is typically done by programmers.
Black Box testing (also called Functional testing or
Functional Systems Level testing) basically entials
testing the end-user's experience with the program.
TWs commonly use Black Box testing techniques to
perform Systems Level tests (also called Acceptance
tests).
