Bryan,

If you're using PowerPoint 2003, there's a product called Microsoft
Producer (free download from Microsoft's site:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/technologies/producer.aspx)
that can be used to capture audio, video, PowerPoint slides and still
graphics and combine them into a multimedia presentation... I think
that the ultimate format is WMV, not AVI, but the resulting
presentation plays happily in a Windows-based browser.

I used it quite successfully earlier this year, with a webcam and
microphone, to create a presentation that combined a Powerpoint pitch
with live audio and video commentary.

The resulting presentation can be burned to CD-ROM or placed on a web
server easily.

Hope this helps.
