Fw: Rational Requisite and ClearCase for Application Docs?
Subject:Fw: Rational Requisite and ClearCase for Application Docs? From:Amanda_Abelove -at- toyota -dot- com To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com> Date:Tue, 11 Jan 2005 15:34:11 -0800
Hi--
I have been researching this and have found TONS of articles on
versioning user documentation using ClearCase, but none on the
following scenario....
We need to overhaul existing application documentation
(requirements, business models, design docs, etc.) library in
ClearCase. The systems analysts want to do the info architecture
according to the following RUP process workflow:
Project Name
Business Model
Requirements / Change Requests
Analysis & Design Docs
Implementation
Test
Deployment
(next)Project Name
There is the slight difficulty that the business needs to be able to
view the same docs in a different hierarchy...
1) Is it possible to use Requisite to create pointers to the docs as
an alternate hierarchy? For example, all requirements by subsystem.
2) Can some kind of form be set up that team members must fill out
in order to add/update docs in the library that would force them to
categorize the docs for search/reporting?
I (admittedly) have only the basic understanding of Rational products...
Any help is appreciated!
