I suspect that if you succeed, your heads will still be on the chopping
block. Of course, they'll ask you to outsource your job before canning
you.

This is no sick joke. Any of us could end up in the position I am in,
having survived a layoff and being left to pick up the pieces. Nothing
was taken care of ahead of time, and now myself and two other writers
have been given the task of setting up an offshore documentation
department in India and making sure it works. This is our opportunity to

keep our jobs. If we fail, it's our heads on the chopping block. That is

why I am asking for help.
