You gotta do what you gotta do. If you think this other company can
offer you direction and skills growth, maybe the initial cut in cash
can be tolerated by you for some time. Else if money is truly the
heart of the issue, maybe it's best to keep looking.

Personally I never let money be a direct factor in switching jobs. I
look at what I can gain from the switch in skills and opportunities. I
keep a long-term perspective.

However, if the bank's about to foreclose on your mortgage already,
maybe a pay cut isn't the wisest idea at the current time. ;-)
