I initially learned from my dad (software developer) who hated doing it
and would have me do it instead while I was studying art/animation... Dad
paid me a whole whopping $5 an hour and deducted my allowance from my
paycheck... so nepotism definitely did not work in my favor!!! LOL
I got a job after high school working for an animation company doing
documentation and training. Then I went back to school and studied
technical writing and computer science, did a bunch of internships and
then contracted in the field for a decade.
I'm working on my masters credits now for an unrelated field. I still do
storyboarding for fun but it is for film. :-}
