1. File > Project Settings.
2. On the TOC Styles tab, under Styles, check the Single Click to Open Books check box.
3. Click OK.

Personally, I don't like TOCs that use this. It feels jarring as books open and close automatically, especially if you're not expecting it. Besides, sometimes, I want to keep the TOC open in order to jump around to topics I need without having to click the Back button to find a topic I was just reading.
