I am not very experienced, but I do like to create images of various
kinds.  

The STC publications Technical communication and Intercom probably are
good places to start. They probably have searchable indexes on stc.org. 

This Web site (techwr-l) and its e-mail list archive probably have
useful info for you too. There are many other Web sites that have
relevant info too.

A Google search that I just did on your topic, as you worded it, gave me
87,700 hits.
