I did one a while ago... I had PageMaker available so I used that. I'm
sure it could be done in Word, but you'd be better off with a
story/frame based DTP tool (otherwise the page breaks will kill you).
In a small book, you need tight layouts and good control for balancing
facing pages. Maybe you can author in Word and import to DTP.
