There are no "different jobs" in a startup. If the CTO is
not prepared to put in late nights in the test lab or the
engineers, writers and others are not prepared to do the
office dirtywork, then they might as well all go home
now, they're doomed.
As for "corrupting the writing profession," I will refrain
from participating in the relaunch of the certification
thread.
