Manuscript pages generally hold only 250-300 words in 12-point type, and
250 words per page is a widely used standard word count per page for
copyeditors.
Manuscripts generally run about 400 words on a
> double-spaced 8.5x11 sheet, while the "industry standard"
> for a book is 5.5x8.5.
