Dear Anon,

I think you would be better off converting to Contractor status than non-exempt status as a full-time employee. The company probably needs the Administrative Assistant for about 40 hours a week, whereas the company obviously needs you much more than that (well, actually they need two of you, but I imagine you have already tried to hire another writer).
