Even when we go to XML, we're still responsible for format and content.
They're just easier to manage.

Regarding earlier comments on XMLosity and paperlessness: XML is a
terrific tool for single-sourcing electronic _and_print_ documentation.
It probably won't reduce tree loss, but it might reduce hair loss (for
some of us, anyway).
