Hi all.

I am a silent member on this list, pinging you all for the first time.
:-)

I need some help creating a brand new style guide. My organization does
not have any doc processes, style guides or fixed templates. I am
setting all of this up now.

Before writing this note, I dug around in the TechWr_l archives for
information on creating a Style Guide from scratch. I found several URLs
for the Sun Style Guide, and a free SG from an Australian website. The
URLs seemed to have moved now - I am not able to get to the information.

I've contributed to several Style Guides and have worked for companies
that have more than one Style Guide for different kinds of publications.
I have not, however, built one from scratch, without help.

Please point me to resources where I can get more information. I would
also greatly appreciate any help you could provide me with what all
should go into a Style Guide (I have a list of items that I recollect,
but I'd love to hear your suggestions and recommendations).

I need to complete this task in 15 days, by when I should be hiring a
couple of team members. Can't possibly ask them to update existing docs
without Style Guides!

Regards,

Amelia Ramon
