Hi John,

I have no idea about the "how do I freeze the date" part of your question,
but I might suggest that you use the SaveDate field instead of CreateDate.
Using SaveDate will show the last time the document was updated, rather
than the date it was created, which may be more important for a living
document that goes through a number of revisions. For such a living
document, a CreateDate of 1998 might make people think that it's overly
old and should be scrapped, even though it was last updated in April,
2005. Using SaveDate would perhaps eliminate this confusion.

Good luck with the freezing, however.
