I use a standard developed originally at Oracle. I use conditional text
called BetaDraft and then apply it to text strings, variables, etc.

Thanks to all who responded to my question regarding... watermarks! I
was able to find out how to insert them in Word, although for now I'm
just going to put them across the page horizontally (as a text box
created in the header). That should be good enough for now (I've just
received my copy of FM 7.1 which I was going to use for manuals, but I
would like to use it for service bulletins as well).
