Hello everybody,

I have a manual I am transferring (localizing) that uses Uninstallation
regularly. The target audience consists of Service Administrators. It
didn't sound right, so I checked the Microsoft MOS (our accepted MOS) and
it advised not to use "uninstall" except to match existing user interface
or to refer to a particular type of program. Our user interface doesn't
use Uninstallation but uninstall.

What would you do? Switch the usage to reflect the user interface
(Uninstall) then campaign for a new word on the next interface release?
In that sort of situation, what word would you recommend to use? Is it the
(sigh) best word for the situation, and I'll have to use it either way? (I
hope not!)

Thank you all!

Best regards
Jennifer Blom
