Documenting "what you do" in the ISO process does not
mean recording how you spend your time, but what steps
you take in a given work process.  The potential process
improvement in doing this results from comparing the
steps taken by various people doing similar work and
determining whether inconcsistencies or incompatibilities
in the various processes are resulting in a lot of reinventing
the wheel or redoing or undoing something that someone 
else has already done.  It also assists in training new people
so that your processes do not become even more chaotic
every time you add to headcount.  There's not much help
in ISO for managers trying to determine when their people 
aren't working.
