Yesterday I provided boss w/ list of 8 books that I've identified for the building of our Writer's library.
But, I have a question that I suspect is addressed in one of the recommended books and am without the books as yet.
I am editing our User Manual for this custom IT solution we are delivering to client. It was mostly written by the guy in charge of training.
Throughout this manual he is saying "by clicking on..." "When you click on...."
Is this the industry standard term for professional User Manuals for an application?
I assume that the Microsoft Manual of Style for Technical Publications, 3rd edition, contains the answer on this kind of question...
