is "technologies" a word?

Hi everyone...

Just had an interesting discussion with a developer about a marketing blurb. The title says "Our technology" and the text goes into discussion of all the various "technologies" involved in the "product solution."

He asked me if "technologies" is really a word...and I said I think so...but it's probably not the best word we could use. After all, a lighter is a "technology" but we're talking about software, and probably want something more specific.

Just curious if y'all find the word "technologies" useful or useless.
